Lip Fillers

Lip fillers are one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments, designed to enhance lip volume, improve symmetry, and refine lip contours. Whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement or a fuller pout, lip fillers can provide natural-looking results tailored to your preferences.

Before Treatment

Contraindications

Lip fillers should not be administered if you’ve had recent infections, skin conditions, or medical procedures such as vaccinations or dental visits in the past four weeks.

Preparation

  1. Avoid blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) and supplements like vitamin C for two weeks prior to your appointment.
  2. Discuss any allergies, medical history, or conditions like cold sores with your doctor.

During Treatment

Numbing

A topical anesthetic cream or ice pack will be used to numb the area for your comfort. Many fillers also contain lidocaine to reduce discomfort during the procedure.

Precise Application

The treatment takes approximately 30–40 minutes. A fine needle is used to inject the filler into specific areas of the lips to enhance shape, volume, and symmetry.

Minimal Discomfort

Most patients experience mild discomfort or a slight stinging sensation during the procedure.

After Treatment

Immediate Aftercare

Reduce Swelling: Apply an ice pack and avoid pressing or massaging the lips for 24 hours.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to aid the healing process.

Avoid Heat and Makeup: Refrain from saunas, hot showers, and wearing makeup on the lips for at least 12 hours.

Swelling and Bruising

Swelling may last 24–48 hours, while bruising can take up to a week to resolve. It’s advisable to schedule treatments at least a week before any major events.
