Dr Alek Nikolic’s Foundation-First Aesthetic Medicine Training:

Why Your First Course Shapes Your Entire Career

Starting your aesthetic medicine journey in Botulinum toxin and soft tissue dermal fillers with proper foundational training isn't just about learning injection techniques—it's about developing the clinical judgment, anatomical understanding, and safety protocols that will define your practice for decades to come. With nearly 20 years of experience training doctors across South Africa and internationally, I've witnessed firsthand how the quality of initial training directly impacts long-term clinical outcomes, patient safety, and professional success.

Welcome to Aesthetic Training with Dr Alek Nikolic

Our Botulinum Toxin Type A and Dermal Filler training programmes are designed to give you the medical knowledge, technical ability, and clinical confidence to expertly treat and manage any patient seeking aesthetic enhancement. Whether you're a general practitioner looking to expand your service offering, or a specialist wanting to add aesthetic procedures to your practice, our foundation-focused approach ensures you begin your aesthetic career with comprehensive knowledge and safe, effective techniques.

Training courses are open to all medical practitioners fully registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Namibia, or with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the United Kingdom.

All courses are registered with the South African Medical Association (SAMA) with Continuing Professional Development Points (CPD) accreditation. Every theory presentation and hands-on injection session is personally supervised by Dr Alek Nikolic.

Why Foundation Training Matters More Than You Think

The Long-Term Impact of Your First Training Course

Many doctors entering aesthetic medicine focus solely on learning how to inject. However, your first training course does far more than teach technique—it shapes your clinical approach, establishes your safety protocols, forms your understanding of facial anatomy, and influences your patient assessment skills for your entire career.

Consider this: a medical practitioner who receives comprehensive foundational training develops:

  • Deep anatomical knowledge that prevents complications before they occur
  • Clinical judgment to assess which patients are suitable candidates
  • Safety protocols that become second nature in practice
  • Complication management skills for the inevitable challenging cases
  • Professional confidence that patients recognize and trust
  • Ethical treatment approaches that build sustainable practices

These foundational elements cannot be easily learned later. They must be established from the beginning.

The Hidden Cost of Inadequate Initial Training

While price is often a factor in choosing training, it's essential to understand the true cost of inadequate preparation:

The investment in quality foundational training is not an expense, it's protection for your career, your patients, and your professional reputation.

We are one of the first aesthetic medical training providers in South Africa and we have earned a great reputation as one of the longest-established, most successful providers.

Tailored Approach To Your Training

At aesthetictrainingenhancement™, we do not believe in a “1 size fits all” approach to aesthetic training. Most delegates start with the introductory Level 1 courses, but this is just the beginning of their Journey. 72% of Cosmetic Course delegates continue to our Advanced Level 2 & Level 3 training (concentrating on more complex techniques and advanced Dermal Filler applications) and bespoke 1-1 packages focusing on additional practical experience in the areas they particularly want to develop. You control your training with Dr Alek’s aesthetictrainingenhancement™courses: we are very flexible.

We Give You More

Most Botulinum Toxin Type A training courses divide their introduction and advanced courses into the upper and lower face, respectively; our Level 1 course teaches you how to approach the entire face when administering Botulinum Toxin Type A treatments. Each course in Level 1 runs for a full day to ensure you get the appropriate length of theory, watch live demonstrations, and have your own personal hands-on experience.

Accredited with CPD Points By SAMA and HPCSA

All of our courses at aesthetictrainingenhancement™ have accreditation with Continuing Professional Development Points (CPD).
